Let us create a bespoke Harris Tweed for you
Harris Tweed Hebrides provides a bespoke design service on demand offering a highly personalised and truly tailored experience. Available in weights, designs and colours fit for today’s luxury design house. Choose between 150 colour yarns; our unique patterns, weaves and designs; and a selection of weights – from superfine to featherweight and mediumweight. We will create a tweed fabric exclusively for your project, for fashion, interiors or accessories. The intricate design and sampling process takes place at our heritage mill in Shawbost. Once a sample of the tweed is created to your complete satisfaction, your tweed will be created by one of our 140 independent Harris Tweed weavers. We offer flame-retardant or Teflon finishes. Minimum requirements for a bespoke design is 100 metres with a lead time of six to eight weeks.
150 Blended Yarn Colours
At Harris Tweed Hebrides we offer an unmatched range of 150 colours, which can be blended to create the nine yarns for your perfect tweed. Even the subtlest differences in the proportions of the colours used in your bespoke tweed will make a difference to the finished cloth, making it uniquely yours.
Shawbost Mill
Home to Harris Tweed since the 19th century, Shawbost Mill is the headquarters of our brand, where wool is scoured, dyed and made into yarn and where the fabric is finished and authenticated after being woven. Our in-house team of tweed specialists and designers are waiting to discuss your requirements; design and produce samples for you and meticulously guide your bespoke tweed through its production.
A Fabulous Finish
Once designed and woven, we will finish your bespoke tweed to your exact specifications. Should you require a flame-retardant or Teflon finish to your fabric, we will be only too happy to help. Please bear in mind the minimum for a bespoke order is 100 metres and sampling lead time is six to eight weeks.
